Rob Gokee, Composer

Rob was born and raised in Southern California and developed an affinity for film music at an early age. Although he had no formal training as a child, he spent hours analyzing the scores of John Williams and how they worked in collaboration with film. Rob took private classical guitar and voice lessons and began to teach himself piano in preparation for a career as a composer under the tutelage of composer and Professor Kevin Kennedy of the Lamont School of Music at DU. Rob also studied under seasoned composer Christopher Young (Spider-Man 3).

In 2007, Rob's score for the period film Until Next Time won him a Silver Medal of Excellence at the 2008 Park City Music Festival, as well as a Best in the Fest award at the 2007 IndieFest Festival in Anaheim, CA.  In 2008, Rob scored the horror feature Eyes of the Woods, the comedy Outrighteous, and the thriller Amhurst. Rob is currently scoring 5 webseries and the feature film "11:11." He lives in Los Angeles.
